We offer English bone china and American Farmhouse china, in both traditional matched sets and mismatched groupings. Share your ideas with us and we can help you style the event of your dreams. If you love the afternoon tea experience, consider joining us for a small group specialty tour. We still have a couple of spots open on our Tea Tour of Scotland in late June and our Tea Tour of London in early July. See our Tea Tour website for details.
IN HISTORIC HERBERT WILLIAMS HOUSE
The Secret Garden is located in a beautiful Victorian Mansion in Sumner, WA. The charm of the original Queen Anne and Italianate architecture provides an elegant, yet warm ambiance in which to enjoy a scrumptious lunch or a traditional English-style Tea Set served on a 3-tier stand. Our gift shop is stocked with tea-time treasures and a variety of delightful gifts, fanciful jewelry and clothing, and charming accents for your home.
Our team of buyers spent most of January shopping the gift markets in Atlanta, Seattle and Las Vegas, and are excited about the many new products that have begun arriving! Most notable is Blue Calico by Burleigh. We will be the only dealer in WA of this wonderful English pottery. Darling (and great smelling!) mini jelly jar candles in pastel shades, reversable rain capes with fine art prints on one side, and a line of sweet handmade gift tags are among other favorite new items. We have also added some great new jewelry displays, so stop in to take a look! GIFT SHOP
We begin taking reservations for our Mother’s Day Tea on March 15th. Call early for the best availability. As always, this is a ticketed event; you purchase your tickets at the time of making a reservation. The special five course tea set is all we serve that weekend, and tables sell out every year, so plan early if you’d like to come. The menu is posted on our special events page.
We are so happy that the days are getting longer and the bulbs are starting to pop their heads through the soil. It won’t be long until Spring arrives! Our menu is starting to lighten up a bit too, with little hints of fresh herbs and pastel colors on some of the dainty sweets. Join us soon, won’t you?
